Prepared Smoke Signal Fire
We all know the green pine boughs on a fire for an emergency smoke signal, but how's this for a home-made, prepared smoke signal:

That's about 150g (1/3lb) for a small tube that'll put out some decent signalling power in places that don't have firewood access. Such as: kayaking at sea, deserts, bogs and marshes, beaches, etc.
