Campfire Grilled Catfish
Hey everyone,
I’m Skyler, just joined the forum! I’ve been into both modern fishing and a bit of primitive bushcraft, and one of the best rewards after a long day by the river is cooking what you catch.
My go-to recipe is campfire grilled catfish. I clean the fish right on-site, season it simply with salt, pepper, crushed garlic, and a squeeze of lemon, then wrap it in foil with a few wild herbs if I can find them (like water parsley or dandelion greens). I place it on the edge of the coals, not the flames, and let it slow-cook for about 10–15 minutes per side. The result is smoky, tender, and incredibly fresh.
What about you guys? What’s your favorite way to cook your catch after a long day out?
