Thought I'd try my hand at......

Building an IFAK for the soft armor + hard plate carrier I made:

Materials are 14oz Canvas, one black snap, length of nylon strapping [extraction handle] and black elastic.

Dimensions are 5.5" wide by 20" total length by 3" deep. It folds up to be 5.5" x 8" x 3" deep. Now I have to stuff the rest of the items in it and make a pouch that mounts to a battle belt and MOLLE webbing. Not too shabby so far I think....

Got about halfway done with the pouch...MOLLE almost done [yes I know....."green??" It's the only 1" webbing I had left]....

Gotta' trim down and seam the 'lid', fashion a pull tab and get Velcro sewn in...

The strap that appears at the top of the insert is going to get a thick line of opposing color....like hunter orange....

I think I'm going to add a patch of loop Velcro for a blood type patch.....somewhere on top....

You have some great engineering and sewing skills there......
