Price of Freon R22
Started the A/C last night.....was humid.....but by morning the condenser line was froze...
I guess the little leak I experienced a couple of years ago leaked down low enough to need a recharge.
I had checked for leaks on everything I could think of and get to, but I don't have a sniffer and don't want to use dye.
Must be small enough that it took 2 years.....last time.
Pulled my jug of R 22 from the garage....added 5 pounds, holds 10 pounds....cooling good again....That all I had left.
I guess there is an advantage to be able to fix it my self.
But that was my stash I had for side jobs....
Then I priced another 30# jug...prices for $280 to $500 bucks...HOLY CRAP!!!!!!
Gonna wait and see what happens as I don't have a recovery machine, vacuum pump and leak sniffer......so would have to get ahold of one of my buddies.......
I have been away for the business since 2007 and the price is very high on the older ozone killing product's (they say)...But I guess I wasn't ready for this.
Have to see how well this charge lasts.....
Randy, how's prices in your area?

A jug of r-22 in my area is roughly 350 to 375 dollars a jug. Just about all ac is r-410a now. Can still get brand new dry units in r-22, one of those loopholes. There is also a leak stop available that works pretty good on small leaks. I haven't used it much other than a few times. Check the schrader valves lol

Yeah...I did that, and I do have the tool to replace it on the fly.......but weren't leak that I could find.
Checked my license for handling refrigerant...actually expired in Nov of 2015.
I think I paid $80 buck for the jug I had......and we were selling it for $10 bucks a pound, back when....before 2007

I was getting really worried about my dad's health as he started feeling more tired and moody lately. So I started looking for information on hormone replacement therapy. I stumbled upon this site that had this article about what to expect and the cost of hormone replacement therapy. The article on https://ways2well.com/blog/what-to-e...rapy-explained was super detailed and explained everything in a simple way. It covered all the important points like what HRT is, how it works, and most importantly, how much it costs. They also talked about different options and plans they offer, which made it easier to understand what might fit our needs. What I liked most was how straightforward and easy to read the article was. It gave me all the info I needed without feeling overwhelmed.
