about 1.5k $ in a properly set up AR15
and if you add a silencer, that's 1 k more. But, with luminous sights, scope, telescoping buttstock, short barrel, trigger job, .22lr conversion unit, chromed bore and chamber, flashhider, rust resistant, dark finish, it effectively fullfills the role of the deer rifle, varmint rifle, small game rifle, match rifle, home defense rifle, shtf rifle,
Adding the silencer, of course, makes the .22 unit and AR (with subsonic 60 gr Aquila 22 ammo) a better small game and bird getter than any shotgun. animals and birds soon stop moving, cause they can't waste the calories. By not scaring them off in the first place, the BB gun quiet .22 unit, (with 223 silencer) is more efficient as to fun, use some tracer 22's on pheasant sometime. :-) you'll be really surprised how effective you can be. Waterfowl and pheasant can often be taken "on the sit", when survival is the issue, not sport or laws.
If you've got a 30-30 for deer, a Model 70 in 22-250, a .22lr rifle, an AK and an 870, you've got over $2000 in guns, and you can't CARRY more than one, along with the pack of needed gear for survival. So which one do you choose? they are all very limited.
