To Infinity & Beyond
Setting up a red dot at a 45% angle to the scope on an AR.
Should the red dot converge with the POA of the scope at some point or strike parallel to the POA at the distance from the bore and 45% angle?
If it converges at some point then from that point on it will diverge low and left past that point.

Most people that I know that "multi sight" their AR have three different setups. Red dot at a 45* that is for quick sight acquisition for out to 50yds. They then use the rifle sights for out to 100yds and a scope that takes it out to 200 yds. Probably could stretch the ranges out a little further, but hard to find a range beyond 200yds.
So the short answer, sight the sight for what you want it to do and don't worry about relativity to the other sights.

My desire would be to have the RDS sighted for somewhere around 25-50 yards, and not be concerned with the zero of the other optic.
