ye old wareagle returns
howdy yall its the old wareagle. I had to re register under my new email, its been a while since two years ago when shtf for me as some of u may recall. for the new folks I was around here in 2007 when chris first started this forum. I have been training hard and am fixing to go back to my primitive roots. I have been given an opportunity to live off the land in northern Ontario on a large property, the only requirement is to pull security conduct tours of the old prison and teach survival classes. I will be coming here from time to time to share my experiences with you folks and lets face it some comradery which hopefully will keep me somewhat social lol look forward to making your accaintance and renewing old friendships

thanks everyone good to be back lots of familiar folks. im very much looking forward to this. the only drawback is there is a ton... imean a ton of mosquitoes there lol..according to records escaped convicts used to turn them selves in after an escape just because of the bugs. if you google earth burwash prison will give you a good idea of the topograpghy
-
From the land of mosquitoes, I suggest just going ahead and getting a little bottle of 100% deet.
-
Welcome back from GA, and I'm not sure, but maybe one of our moderators could help you with changing your user name. (?)

With all that has gone on, I think he likes the new one the way it is.

Hi wareagle. Your new direction sounds interesting, but those bugs... I tried a brand of repellent called Muskol for a trip in the Amazon. That worked really well. If they don't send you mad, let me know what you end up doing about them.
-
very familiar with muskol would like to stay away from chemicals so we will see how I stop myself from going insane next spring lol
-
Oh No he's back! Everybody hide!! Welcome back WE
-
Well now...
We have many newcomers on here that know squat about the old "Warbird," so here's a brief rundown:
1.) He knows a lot about wild edibles and can give you a bunch of info if needed.
2.) He used to have a young moose calf named Norm who had a flatulence problem.
3.) He's ex-military, Army Rangers I believe.
4.) this is one of his best contributions, now a sticky: http://www.wilderness-survival.net/f...lute-must-read

It may have been me with the flatulence problem but we can blame it on Norm. That's fine.
