Something NEW for the Emergency/Survival kit?

I have not tried this yet, myself. A friend told me about it, and showed me this video link. I'm thinking there may be many possible, emergency, McGuyver-type uses for this stuff!

Seems fairly useful for a range of things but is limited for summer use, I would not leave it in a car.

"it softens at the relatively low temperature of 60°C (140°F)"

I.E. not great for handle of cook wear or leave on dashboard of your vehicle or in backpack during a summer trip in the SW.

But for an emergency knife blade for example, they say it is reusable, re-moldable.

That's pretty wild. Yeah, I could find a few uses for it. Good post.

I'll be honest here, Thos stuff never crossed my mind for my kit. What do y'all consider the best supplier for it?

There are some other brands of similar materials cost is typically about $20-30 per pound. So it seems you are paying for convenience. With a small cook pot and stove or fire you could form something just about anywhere.
