SG flannel lined pants
I want to do something I seldom do and make a product endorsement.
I purchased a pair of Sportsman's Guide flannel lined Guide Gear pants back in the fall and now I have had a chance to test them.

They have proven a good value for the money and according to the test I put them too this morning they do as they are advertised.
I was rousted out this morning to help start a neighbor's car. Temp was 7 degrees and 30 mph gusts. After a half hour outside in that I never felt a gust of wind cut through the fabric and my lower body was quite comfortable.
These pants are heavy duck fabric with a heavy flannel liner. It feels like a blanket when you pick them up but they are not bulky once you put them on and are very comfortable to wear.
7 pockets and elastic expandable waist band so you can tuck in as many layers as you feel necessary.
In this weather they are a good product for the money. They would be a good addition to a winter 'get home bag".
Just my 2 cents worth.

I hear ya....Wear the Carhartt and Dickey versions while working out side.....
Couple of pair are so ratted out, that all the knees are just the lining.
Haven't tried the SG brand.....but the idea is wonderful.
Flannel lined give another layer for "chainsaw coasting to a stop grabbing the pant leg" protection as well.
Do wear chaps most always...........just saying....

I just might have to try those flannel lined pants. My body just cannot deal with the cold this year.

Good to know, KyRat. I like SG a lot, but I have the dangest time with their clothing sizes. I typically wear med-large and more then once I have ordered Large and it's like a small. Right now I am wearing sweatshirt from them that I order in XL and I am borderline swimming in it, go figure! Last pair of pants I got were great in the waist, but the legs were higher than high waters. Cut them into shorts. I just can't win when it comes to their sizing.
Everything else I have gotten from them has been pretty good stuff....

Flannel lined jeans are real popular up here.

Does the sizing run true? I'm always leery to buy clothes online for fear it won't be sized very accurately. It's gotten to the point with shoes that I have 12s that fit and 10s that fit! I wore a 10 & 1/2 Wide for 25 years until production of everything moved to China and sizing went out the window.

I wear insulated coveralls when it gets real cold. Its been -15 to -20C for the last few days and hitting
-30C with the wind chill. The only thing I dont like is when you fart. It tends to leak out around your neck.

buhahahahaha! Farts bubbles. Kinda like panty hose.....I mean.....not that I'd know anything about that.
