The misses, with the son's coercion got me a suunto watch. Having been a Casio guy, all I can say is, this thing is not good. About the only thing it does is keep time and, it's so impossible to see,that's not much good. It's supposed to have a compass (about 90 degrees off), altitude ( if you don't know the current altimeter setting, useless) and the temp, useless. It reads ambient body temp and whatever temp.
Well, that's my unfortunate review.
Shyyyyy..don't tell them that, just say out loud,,what a nice gift..I love it!

Help? Sure, the instructions were just pictures. Well, more like hieroglyphics. You can reflect the sun into a nice tight beam with it. Not enough to light char cloth but, maybe it being -10f had something to do with it.
You've obviously tipped the age scale when instructions no longer make sense and electronics must be programmed by children. It's okay. All of us have faced that wall. I'm fortunate that I have enough grand kids to keep most of the electronics regulated around the house. Unfortunately, my VCR still blinks the time.

Thing was, my hearing is so bad I did not realize it was beeping 24/7 while it was driving everyone around me crazy.
She bought me a nice analogue Timex with a light for seeing in the dark, after being insured that id did not have an alarm.
It tells time, even in the dark. What more can one ask?
If a watch can measure your pulse, blood pressure, the altitude, magnetic disposition and galvanic response it can be programed as a lie detector!!!
You most definitely do not want to be wearing something that will beep when you tell a whopper. You would wind up divorced and thrown off the internet!

Timex "indigo" for me.
My Indiglo has lasted 6 years on the original battery and has not lost or gained a minute in that period.
You can't beat that for a $20 watch!
It also tells me the day and date, which is a necessity at this point in my life. Sometimes I have to double check the watch, calendar and phone with the internet before I really believe what day it is.
Every day is Saturday....except Sunday....then I rest.
I tell what day it is by my med box......
And that is why my Casio Protrek is always on me...heheheheheh
