skinning deerlegs
i,ve been skinng a few deer legs lately. whats nie is all the things you get in doing so.
the leg bone for knive handles, bone tools, bone knife blades, the skin for knife sheaths, small pouches, wrappings for knife
handles and sinew for all sorts of projects. even the hoofs can be used for various craft projects.
think outside the box there are many uses when using these items.

I think it is good to use everything you can of the animal too. Deer bones make good daggers.

the deer legs in question are the lower front legs. although the rear legs are quite interresting see what i can do with them.
gosh i sure wish i could get some Elk leg bones and lower jaws too they would make sone nice knife handles i,m sure.
as for the rattles ive seen those i have a buffalo leg stone warclub i got from a guy out at pine ridge,sd it has some deer hooves
on it.

I have traded deer hooves for some neat stuff at the trade blanket.
Don't forget the needle bone in the front leg. It's under the dew claw!
