WMD in Iraq
I don't understand why we treat our military the way we do. What would have been so disgraceful about acknowledging the existence of the weapons and the exposure to military personnel? THEN provide them with appropriate medical treatment. The disgrace is they tried to cover it up. I hear echos of Viet Nam and Agent Orange. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. This just leads to more governmental distrust.

I have contacted my Senators, Representative and the White House with my thoughts on this subject. I urge you to do the same.

Part of this is the "No WMD in Iraq" syndrome. But, there certainly is a history of treating the military in such a manner.
-
Aye, who knows how far back. My father came back from WWII with amoebic dysentery and the VA tried to pass it off as malaria and that he didn't get it in the Philippines.
-
Yup, sick soldiers slid to the back burner. Been going on for decades.
I *think* I contracted ulcerative colitits, which put me out (medical discharge, but over 15 years so it was medical retirement) from bad water while serving at Ft.Irwin, but I have no proof... I do know, I never, ever had a single symptom until I had been in the sand box for a few weeks, drinking out of water buffalo & canteen. There are processes for sanitizing a WB, but if not followed... its just "water", contents unknown.
UC is like taxes, aint going anywhere in your lifetime, so I still suffer with it to this day! (Been out over 6+ years now).

I was just reading a magazine article about the troops they marched through the drop zones for the atomic tests out in Nevada The ones in the trenches conducting maneuvers after the blasts in only fatigues and gas masks.
Heard this WMD report on NPR. They went on to say that the places these shells were found are in the territory now occupied by ISIS. Lovely.

So, ISIS is camping out on top of age old chemical weapons? Ironic, maybe there IS karma after all. She may be slow, but she makes her rounds as reliable as a Swiss watch!

There have been news reports ISIS has used the chemical weapons on the Kurds. Some pictures surfaced recently with mustard gas like injuries and no external trauma to cause death.

Talk about WMD and ISIS! Firstly, I do not agree with WMD that kinda kills people slowly. If you wanna kill someone, please make sure that its instantly, rather than poisoning the SOB slowly and painfully. But then, where do we draw the line? The present nukes do kill people in a certain area instantly, but the neigbouring area gets the worse effect, they die slowly and painfully.
As for the ISIS, a lot of the Muslim world hates them. Malaysia yesterday arrested 14 people who were attempting to join the stupid group. Some teenagers (esp girls) were coaxed into joining them there. These ISIS are giving Islam a bad name. Islam is supposed to be a religion of peace and love. However these fanatics/extremists have spoiled that image.
I and people like me, always believe that one should learn the true ways of Islam in order to be a true Islam. BY the way, First Testament Bible (What I mean is the first initial Bible) and the Quran has not much difference. Looks like I got carried away n religion now..thanks to the stupid ISIS.

Well, a clean bomb would make it quick for everyone - smart bombs are too expensive though. Of course, nuke everyone and that would take care of the fringe areas.
Van Halen has this song that explains it all - "Humans Being".
-
I like the "too expensive" art...hehe
-
(sigh) I long ago gave up expecting the human race to figure in, "what's good for humanity", as part of the equation for their plans.
The MIB phenomenon:
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."
