Gun Book Review

There is a link for a book I recently picked up. I found mine at "Half Price Books" for $5.99 plus a tip to Uncle Sam. It can be found in lots of places on the web for $15 and under.
This is the first gun book I have actually purchased related to gun care. I know the basic principles of gun care and maintenance having been raised around firearms. For the price, I had to pick it up and check it out. The book focuses on the enthusiastic gun owner who wants to advance beyond what owner's manuals cover and avoid outsourcing work that can be done by someone with a little knowhow. The author himself is a gunsmith and gives instruction based upon his personal experience. He explains what tools and procedures he prefers and why. He also covers common mistakes and their potential outcomes. There is also a section that covers several popular firearms with fantastic schematics. The only downfall I see to the book is that the author tends to highly recommend "Brownell's" a lot. Nothing against "Brownell's" but I can't help but to wonder if there was a little bit of a kickback for that. In my opinion, it is a good book to have for all firearm owner's and there is a ton of good info worth having around on the bench.
I am not affiliated with the author or any companies mentioned or link. Just passing on what I find to be a good resource.
