Bow
Something I've always wanted to do since I was a child was hand make my own bow. I made little stick bows with some hay bell yarn that wouldn't scare a cat. And I've made a few from heated and moulded PVC but I want to made a high performance bow that I can actually use for hunting deer. Was told that hickoy is a good wood to use. Or what type of tools I should use. I don't know much about the process and google will have a thousand different ways. I wanted to ask all you on here because I know people on here have actually perfected this beautiful art.

Canid and Frank (FVR) have done quite a bit in this area. Unfortunately, Frank hasn't been on in over a year.
If you look through the Making Stuff and Primitive Skills sections you'll find a lot of threads on bow making. If you do a search try longbow. Bow is a 3 letter word and the search engine doesn't allow searches on anything less than 4 letters.
