Fun time at Therapy
Been going to therapy 3 days a week ....trying to get back in the groove......
This morning as I was riding the stationary bike.......guy next to me riding one as well, that I hadn't seen before.
Some Doo Whop music was playing on the exercise room speakers.....this guy was kinda singing along....was doing pretty good.
Turns out he has been in several local Doo Whop groups over the years.....
http://www.doo-wopdaddies.com/ Third from left.......
Talked to him a bit as he was recovering from surgery, as well....and we were discussing old times...
We decided that back when American Bandstand was on, showing new artists, playing new music and new dances....Yeah I know I dating my self.....LOL
They would play a song and the kids would give it a score Example "I give it an 89, has a good beat and is easy to dance to....."
They should have added........"and will be playing in your cardiopulmonary re-hab..... when your are in your 60's......"
-
Hard to have fun in rehab but sounds like you're doing it. Our goal is to get over this ailment before the next one hits.
-
Yeah it is hard to have fun...we try to at least tolerate it......This was just kind of a break in the action.
I don't think they will be playing Rap on the speakers any time soon.....
-
Ahhhhh - American Bandstand. Such a simpler time.
-
My last session, I was telling the group how my childhood was scared from things like "you worthless crap, you will never amount to anything" and then my D.I. yelling at me...
Oh wait, wrong therapy.
Nevermind.

I hear ya.......the music does help, I will say....makes the time go faster
-
Or covers the screams from the next room at least.
-
Nothing worse than hearing those screams and then having Nurse Ratchet standing in the doorway with her hands on her hips looking right at you and saying NEXT!
-
They do kinda have a mean streak....LOL.....Push, push, push........like the one on TV that that slaps ya for not having a V-8http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUPdW3ba6F4
I continued on with the group that was recommended and the same program that I had right after surgery.
No waiting on machines, same people, but just a member now with out all the monitors and checks.
They had said that they would still check BP....Once in a While....Well they did, once....and it has been a awhile.....
So now I guess if some one keels over....we just get dragged into the hall...."Clean up isle #2".
