Yesterday's Trip
We went for a little ride yesterday. Four generations of my family. My father, brother, my two daughter's, a daughter that adopted herself into the family, and my the granddaughters. Along with some of the best friends you can ask for.

Brianna laid back with her feet up.

Brianna loves flowers and pulling the pedals off. Don't worry she definitely knows not to put them in her mouth. The one she has there is a Bartram's Rose Gentian. I consider both of these wildflowers amazingly beautiful.

The bridge less traveled. A foot bridge on the Florida Trail over Big Gopher canal. Bib Gopher and Big Mound City are shell mounds of early native Americans that lived in this area of the everglades over a thousand years ago. After they died off from European disease. The Seminoles moved into the area. The environment can be a harsh one even with an abundance of game. The Seminoles that were pushed into this area surrendered. The adjacent land where the Seminoles surrendered from is called Hungryland because of that.

I wore nothing but long pants and cowboy boots for a long time. I wore long pants because of work regs. I have always loved cowboy boots and I have either always bought waterproof boots or treated my boots to keep them waterproof. Sean wore almost nothing but shorts. Then a decade ago we switched somehow. Yesterday he went back to shorts. My daughter cut them for him. LOL

The adopted daughter. She is an amazing person. Raised her siblings, put her self through college, got her MBA and has paid off almost all of her student loans. Finally karma has shown up and now her job involves a lot of flying around in a private jet and eating her lunches in fancy restaurants. Yet, she still finds time to come by and cook healthy meals for me and she brings me free burbon! Notice Sean before the cut offs. Them boots are doing their job.

Almost too deep. I got caught by a deep hole. All our stuff started floating off. I had to stop. Which is not great. But, Bri was up to her waist. So, I no longer take point with the grand children. Everybody and the UTV were fine. Drove out no problems.
