A big scare for my wife
On Monday, my wife got a call around 2pm from the automated system that my 1st grader was absent. That was odd...because he was suppose to be there. So, she called the school to make them check the classroom....to which the answer was that he never showed up. So, she asked them to get his big sister in 3rd grade and ask her...to which the answer was that she wasn't there either. At this point my wife is very worried and tells the school she is coming down there. We live about 2 blocks from the school. As she drives down, she is looking around.....and sees them both at the park that is right next to the school. They had decided to play at the park all day, and figured no one would notice. Of course, they were also sunburned and hungry...because they couldn't go home to eat. They also realized that playing at the park for 5 hours isn't that much fun...... :cursing: Kids....

Ha, she should have just parked and watched them for a few hours until school let out, then drove home real quick. When they walked in acting like they were in school all day, asked them why they were so sun burned, and let them know that dinner was going to be late!

Glad everything turned out OK.....that would cause major concern I'm sure.
I used to "run away" when I did get my way a couple of times......parents would say..."Write when you learn how...."

Their back sides will soon be as red as the rest of their bodies

Ohhh yea, that would have given me a heart attack!
