Here is a plant that's been growing in a yard I've been working on. Any idea what it is? It's in full sun in what seems a very moist and rich soil. Grows very quick and will grow a high stalk if left alone. It's in northeast Georgia.

Looks similar to prickly lettuce, does it have sharp spines on the leaves ?
I thought some type of lettuce as well, but the leaves are not prickly.Quote:

That's a sour dock, but there's a real simple test. Those docks are sour like sorrel. Here, you can safely taste a small bit, and spit it out.
Confirming Curly Dock. The name "yellow dock" is in reference to the yellow color of the tap root.
