deer heater
items needed
1.1 gallon tin can
2.1 role of toilet paper
3.1 bottle of rubbing alcohol
first you put the whole role of toilet paper in the tin can then pore 3/4 of the bottle of alcohol directly in to the can then let sit for 5 min to fully soak in then light
the resone this is called a deer heater is because it produces no smoke at all (in less you leave a wrapper on the can like the first time i tryed:oops:) it sould last over an hour when i tryed it lasted about 2 hours

I have seen those, and do work pretty well.....personally I don't really care for a alcohol fire....can't see it.
Lets just say I have had some bad experiences with it.....LOL
Disclaimer, I have seen the up graded version, never made or used one:
If you ventilate a metal 5 gal bucket, and use a smaller coffee can, (used to be 1 pound, metal hard to come by these days) put the heater in the bucket and use as a seat.....

Could give new meaning to being placed on the hot seat.:whistling:

I never saw the guy after talking with him on cold morning...he was hauling one out to his stand.....but thought is was a good idea at the time....and had some black and blue heat marks on it...so it had been used?
The alcohol heaters mentioned were also used in ice fish fishing shacks.
