Constant Change

Changed my Day Pack around a little bit. I'm still using my UTG shoulder bag, with all the important things. Multiple fire starters, knives, firearm, first aid, personal hygiene etc. I added fishing tackle for those times when I want to wet my line. Worked great today on our fishing trip. Makes for a great tackle bag and doubles as a "Get Home Bag".

I like your selection, nice job.
Seems it's a tab fishing heavy for my tastes...But hey, I could grab just about any one of my bags and coats, and still carry the basics Plus activity gear.

I think our packs change as we grow in knowledge and experience. Good selection.

I use one of those as my canoe bag.

Good stuff Doug. I would suggest adding some sunscreen and bug repellent.

Funny you mention those two items. I actually had some sunscreen in it, but the wife took it for her bag. Eh I wouldn't wear it anyhow. Work outside all day long and never use it. I also never use bug spray for various reasons.

You may not think you need it now, but skin cancer later in life is a real distinct possibility with the intense sun and working in it all day. Honestly - do yourself and your family a favor and go through the inconvenience now.

I have to second Crash's post. I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my left ear in '97. I'm certain that it was a direct result of having worked outside for years with no sunscreen. I just set up an appointment Friday with a dermatologist to have a spot on my head checked. Squamous Cell carcinoma is a deadly disease that some 700,000 are diagnosed with each year. Of that number, 2500 die. You don't find me outdoors these days without a broad brimmed hat and sunscreen. It's just not worth the risk. Add the sunscreen.

Make sure and do a review on that BG multitool.
