New Member Intro
Need to learn new skills :) Our clan is thinking about living mostly off the grid. Oldest member going is 58 and the youngest is 1. I have camped a lot, can start a fire, draw and carry water, cook just about under any conditions, make do, and run the camp like a drill sergeant (so they say), I garden and shoot pretty good too. We have a few hunters in the family, a rock climber, a baker, a secretary, and a faithful dog. The old man was a medic and volunteer fire fighter in his day. We have a lot to learn and plan to cross train so everyone has some experience with everything. This is where we are starting out from. Knowledgeable opinions, ideas, and methods are welcome.

Welcome. Tell us more about your plans. We have a lot of people who live off the grid up here. Living off the grid doesn't necessarily mean living primitive though as some of those places can get pretty fancy with battery banks and solar, etc.
