Hockey Puck
So I Play Hockey, And In Turn Have Numerous Pucks Around. Some Are Pure Rubber, But Most Have Some Sort Of Semi-Hard Inner. Do You Fine People Have Any Ideas As To What These Could Be Used For In Survival Or Camping? The Only Other Use I Have Used Them For Is In Asphalt Racing, They Want Us To Use Stock Frame-To-Body Bushing. And Pucks Look About The Same, But Are Far Stiffer. Its Not Cheating Or Illegal Unless You Get Caught!

If you shave off pieces of the puck will they burn? And if you melt it can it be used as glue, or to patch a hole?

I have seen them used in body lift kits for spacers. Camping, I would use them to level up a stove or table.
-
Lift kits, base for lamp, base for (a lot of things), wind chimes (if you don't want to wake the neighbors).
-
I have two from the Ft. Wayne Comets sitting on a shelf and I'll be danged if I can figure out what I'd use them for. Maybe a rabbit puck instead of a rabbit stick or in a really, really big slingshot.
-
Get two more and build a Pinewood Derby car with "off road" tires.
-
That would work but they get no traction on ice so I couldn't use it in winter.
-
That's probably a good thing. I don't think Winter would cotton to you throwing hockey pucks at him.
-
Cut them into small blocks and make small game blunts for arrows.
-
So how do you cut a hockey puck?
-
Carefully. Otherwise you puck it up.
-
Now that right there is pucking funny. I don't care who you are.
-
-
Crash and I do two shows nightly. 7:00 and 9:00. Get your tickets early.

I think H63 wants in on the act with his "wtp" comment.

Just consider me a heckler......

I have used a hockey puck to replace a suitcase wheel that was damaged in transit. Used a hole saw (proper ID) with the right dia centre bit and drilled it out. Put the blank in my lathe and beveled the edges, fit it to the suitcase. Perfect fit, better than the original. The lady asked for the cored puck to bring back home (Japan) to show her family and friends.

Soap in a sock head buster trick?
What about a hand hold for a bow-drill spindle?
Something to bite down on when your 'pard pulls your hatchet out of your shin for you?
A weighted missile to tie to a rope to aid throwing your bear bag line over a tree limb?
a reusable shot gun/ .22 target?
A device you can play around with using sticks when you get bored?

In a SHTF situation it is also important to reduce stress to increase the odds of survival. If you can't play hockey with it, make up another game with it.
-
Could you just play hockey with it? Yeah, why didn't I think of that before?????
Is an up grade from a can cover and brooms, that what we used.......
