Born and raised in the mountains of western Maine. My idea of a vacation is a week roughing it with whatever I can pack in with me. Not a huge fan of hiking, I prefer to get where I want to squat and then set up camp.
While I'm both opinionated AND ignorant, I try not to mouth off too often with stupid ideas that might get people killed (although that might happen). Looking to read, learn, and participate where I can add value.

Welcome, That is one thing I truly miss about Maine, the fact that you can just take a compass reading and start walking. Out here you have to stay on trail or the trail Nazis will scold you.
