metal detectors
My old whites 4000d gave up the ghost awhile back and a replacement is in order. I had the old whites for over 25 years and haven't used another detector that worked as well. A new detector has some big shoes to fill LOL. Any thoughts on detector selection?

I am very fond of Whites. Still made in America and going strong. Their store up on Sweet Home is pretty cool. I guess I need to pick-up another sometime, since my Grandfather's 1971 model finally gave up the ghost last summer.

I love my White and if anything ever happened to it,it would be another White.I bought my grandson a Bounty Hunter with an LCD screen and it works very well for the money,if I was new to detecting I would look at a bounty hunter and see if I liked the hobby.

I have a White's as well. Gosh, I must have bought that thing in 70's. Seems like it has been around as long as I have. It's in a lot better shape I know that. And stop this talk about White's crapping out. You'll ruin my good juju.
