Native American Culture Fest, Chehaw
I paid more attention to the Culture Circle, and dancing this time, even though I had a nice treat for myself at the end. The whole album is here.

The tracking or war dance. The dancer is not allowed to walk a complete circle, nor backstep, else he will be defeated.

Met a few new people this year too, weighed a few options, did some troubleshooting. It was a good day: I think I'm getting too much sand out of my clay, and spinning thread.. enough to make one dress.. is far less efficient than tanning 4 hides AND sewing them together in "fancy" patterns. learned some more interesting characteristics of the local stone from the knapper, who is an archaeologist. More rope materials and hook designs..Neat stuff!!
