Nahanni
Here's a short video of a prospector going up the Nahanni in search of gold. I found the nickname of a area along the trip interesting. It was noted that albert johnson had lived in this area. I've often wondered if this is where he acquired the gold teeth that he was found with.
I wasn't sure where in the forum to post this. Also I have no commercial interests in this posting. I simply found it interesting and wanted to share.

Watched the firs minute or so. Looks interesting. I'll watch the rest when I'm off-line.

Whats amazing is that old boy is seventy years young. He comes to some falls that are twice as high as Niagara falls. He portages all his gear up and over and then makes a new boat on the other side from lumber that he brought. It seemed like quite the feat from a seventy year old.

What a fantastic video. The breathtaking scenery aside, his feat of portaging across Virginia Falls and building a boat on the other side was incredible. I did some quick GoogleFu and could not find if he ever had success in reaching his destination and finding gold. I guess there are now a couple of commercial mines in operation in the area.
Thanks for posting that.
