First knife with antler scales.
This is the first time to use a material like bone/horn/antler for scales. I cut out the knife shape first and then ordered the antler. WRONG! At least for this one. I was lucky I had almost the right shape and only had to modify it a little bit. It is a handful of Axis antler. The steel is 1/8" ats34 the handle is about 5" long and the blade is around 4". I was very nervouse and sweating bullets when I was peening the pins. The last time I peened some I cracked a nice piece of cocobolo. I enjoyed working with the antler and will definitely be using it again.
