Wildgoth - I always carry both on me even when I'm out. You bring up an excellent point. Money is something many folks forget about in the BOB. If you have to hit the road, it's quite possible ATMs won't be functional and banks won't be open. Even if they are open, the influx of strangers may preclude them from accepting checks, etc. Sufficient money in small bills should be in your BOB to purchase necessary items like food and fuel while you're on the road. Given the price of fuel, I recently increased my funds to a few hundred dollars.
On the road, those funds should be dispensed among trusted members of your clan and safeguarded away.
ID always and like to keep a hundred at least in cash at all times also usually one check for emergencies lol , like a new knife or sumthin
Yeah, you can easily end up miles from where you planned so a little dough can certainly help smooth things for the trip back.
ATM cards, Credit cards, and Traveler's checks can help as well as long as you have your ID.:cool:
