Practice Matchless fire-starting #3.
This time I tried the 9 volt battery & steel wool that Mykel Hawke used on "Man, Woman, Wild." 1st off, I used OOOO steel wool as steel wool is not normally used to clean aluminum pots as seen on the show. Likewise most AM radios no longer use the more expensive 9 v. batteries, but rather AA or AAA batteries.
Next I found that it's not as easy as it looks. TP or tissue is needed to get the fire going as well as blowing on the embers that you get from the steel wool. Other than that it worked just fine. :cool2:
