Camper is just about done

Well it was the second 4th of July in a row spent fixing up an old camper. Hopefully we'll keep this one longer. We had to paint all that dark paneling and lucky for me I paint for a living so materials were free. Also got lucky and found a matress for free from a fold out couch. All appliances work except the pilot light on the furnace goes out when it calls for heat (gotta replace a switch if I can find it) Right now it's ready to camp just a few little things to finish up. Also need to build some drawers for the basement or something because it's 8' deep and hard to get to things.

Nice... is that an 8 foot camper in a 6 foot bed? I've been looking for a nice truck camper to fit a 6 foot bed, too. Looks like you have a nice compact layout. Is that a head or is it a closet on the left as you come in the door? Never saw the little basements on these things before.
What kind of paint did you use on the panelling? Something epoxy-based for toughness?
Nice ride.

That light colored paint made a big difference! Looks like it is ready to go! Nice work.

Yup 8' camper on 6' bed. It's a closet with a porta potty. Can't use it with the door shut but at least it has one. The basement is accessed from the two doors on the rear under the door. Both sides are about 14" wide 5" tall and 8' deep. Makes it hard to reach stuff way in the back so I need to make some drawers or something. The paint I used was Kilz Primer sprayed on mostly and then 3 coats of spray paint Krylon Ivory. Not sure if it will be that durable but it's easy to touch up and we have plenty of extra cans.

I miss that old broken down camper we had, just be careful, there a little top heavy.
