stinging nettle-boiled for a few mins then added some butter salt, pepper, and garlic powder, while it smell like spinach when cooked it does have a different flavor
salad comprised of-purslane,clover,clintonia,sheppards purse,wild chive,wild garlic,leek,sorrel,orpine,dandelion crown, chicory,lovage,mustards,pigweed.
added some thousand island dressing, and maybe a few strands of regular old grass.

same here.. italian is the way to go!
I have to admit I'm a little envious. Hopefully by next year I'll be out of the learning phase and into the eating. Doing my best to learn them as they grow now.
Sounds delicious though.

Sounds good WE. I had stinging nettle for my first time this season and so far it is my favorite green. Much better flavor than spinach too IMO.
-
so i am still eating my salads everyday just mixing up the greens as more become available, pigweed covers a few plants including amaranth and lambs quarters. Asparagus has been eaten sparingly as it does not continue to grow once it has been cut, i was hoping it would, but i have left allot to go to seed and every year should keep improving, also have had lots of milkweed this yr, will cover that in a new thread

Sounds great! can you post pics? That would be very helpful. Pics both while picking and preparing. It would be be helpful in iding plants.
