What would you do?
I am one of those men that is(probably like many, if not most, others here) forever curious I read A LOT of books. Well I read one that was non-fiction telling of a subculture of PickUpArtists. :blushing:
Well anyway these fellows use nicknames and this is what caused this query.
You see one fellow showed up that told everyone his name was Tyler Durden. The sociopath alter ego in Fight Club. What would you do if we were having say a Jamboree and someone introduced themselves using this or any notorious handle?
Just further evidence of my eternal curiosity.
In the book they just welcomed him regardless of the fact that nearly everything had said about himself online was obviously false.

I would wonder if he was joking. But if he persisted I think I would find it hard to take anything he said or did seriously. It's kind of hard to trust someone in that situation.
-
I never saw the movie, so I'd probably say howdy Tyler.
-
As a hero of mine once said, "trust but verify".
I always try to remember that and when I let it slide, I always regret it.
-
Unless he said something like Al Capone I probably wouldn't know the difference. I have no idea who Tyler is or anything about Fight Club unless my wife runs it in which case I participate often. Usually on the loosing team.
-
If I found that he had be brazenly dishonest with me or the group, (as in his credability is shot) I would kick his fight club *** and send him packing. I have no tolerance for that sort of crap. I would rather tolerate your actual poor interactive skills than your slick lies.
