the timing of the moon is a strange thing..
it spins at a ration proportionate to it's revolution, so that only one side of the moon ever faces the earth.
it rises and sets like the sun, but with a different number of hours in it's "day"
it's orbit varies around the earth, sometimes lower in the sky and sometimes higher, sometimes it's closer to the earth and sometimes farther away.

the sun radiates charged particles, called ions.
a full moon reflects more ions on the dark side of the earth than a new moon.
ions affect all sorts of things from electronics to dispositions.
