I meant to post this yesterday, but with all the baking and stuff I forgot.
Anyhoo, some time ago I started a fight with my Bank. I was sold insurance without my consent and basically I've been trying to get the money back. The letters have been to-ing and fro-ing between me, the bank and the Financial Ombudsman for 3years. Yesterday I got a cheque... from the bank, for a substantial amount(for me anyway). Not only did they have to pay the original sum, but the interest that I had paid AND interest on said money since they took it, at an APR of 8%. So I got a nice Christmas present from the bank.:)
So the moral of this story is check your bank statement VERY carefully, and don't let those penny pushers win!
It's taken a long time, but I was right, they were wrong and they've paid the price. Now where's that shopping list.......:innocent:
