View Full Version : Things I Don't Want to do Again
I have a list of things I really have no interest in doing again. I've done it once, found no pleasure in it and would rather not repeat it.
1. Managed to lay burning paracord across my thumb (just yesterday) and raised a dandy blister.
2. Stomped and clapped my hands at a neighbor's dog that was crapping in my yard. He promptly charged me.
3. Patiently waited for an old man to back out of a parking space. He then ran over the curb and nearly nailed me. Run 'em down I say.
4. I've figured out a couple of times why some boots are steel toed. Once this week.
5. Chain saws come with a kickback brake for a reason.
6. It doesn't really matter how tall a 4X4 piece of lumber is. It's all about leverage.
7. You can't hold a 28 foot extension ladder no matter how hard you mentally will it not to fall. The Vulcan mind meld only works for Vulcans.
8. Wasps can hurt you worse than a 240lb bald guy in a bar fight.
9. Always read the label on the nail gun.
10. Never touch a muffler to see if it's hot. It is.

1.) Go through puberty again.
2.) Get with my 1st wife BEFORE we got together!
3.) Say bad things about a certain kid's mom when he was twice my size!
4.) Saying it in front of his mom who was twice as big as he was...and twice as mean!
5.) Throw big rocks into a Bumble-Bee nest! Those little turds can hold a grudge!

Speaking of foriegn countries - While in South Korea, drinking entirely too much Soju and staying out about three hours past curfew, running roof top to roof top for the seven blocks back to your hotel in order to avoid the South Korean Military looking for people out past curfew.
Oh, and like Nell said - not asking Jason to explain some things.

Similar situation, had a hockey puck correct a slight overbite when I was 10 or so, that was....unpleasant.

It sort of violates a universal law of common sense, I think. I mean, if God were a man, you could figure he'd be like the oldest guy around. So he should have a bit of good common sense saved up. I know what he'd say if you asked him.

Being in construction bad things happen eventually. I got on an extension ladder ,from the roof to get down. The guy who just moved it,[runnin facia] didnt notice it came unhooked. When I got on it it slid closed with me on it, faceing out. Yea I bounced off the ground. Once I ate all you can eat crablegs at Golden Corral and got in the parking lot and tried to run back in about to crap my britches but didnt make it. Had my cowboy boots on and it was a squishy walk to the truck. Called my mom and told her we wouldnt make it over cause I just had an accident and she startledly asked whos fault was it. The damn cooks I guess. Oh and never leave a sledge hammer at the foot of a ladder. Damn handle will get you in the butt everytime.

- Get a colonoscopy. The prep is worse than the test.
- Get married. If I wanted to burn money, I'd light a bonfire.
- Have kidney stones. And be stuck in the ER labeled as "looking for narcotics". (D@mn right I was looking for narcotics!)

I've had two of those foul cretins. One on each side. I was scheduled to have one retrieved when it passed into the bladder. My peeologist said he would have water or cranberry juice sent it. He** no! I told him. I'm on schedule for it to be retrieved and nothing is passing these lips until it is. Fool thought I was gonna pass that. Not this kid, no, sir!
I've had two of those foul cretins.
I've had over 50. About one every 8 months since I was 18. The last one was the biggest. In 2006, I spent 4 1/2 months out of work. With all that time on my hands, when the demerol wore off, I spent tons of time on the web looking for a way to prevent them.

I don't want to have another motorcycle wreck. I've had two (many years ago). I guess the second one was to confirm that the first one was not enjoyable.
My oldest son has a buddy that did a belly slide down the road on a bike. He has no nipples. None. The road slide took them off.

I never again want to take a wrong turn at work again. I was driving our transplant vehicle (black ford excursion, undercover light set, limo interior:drool:) I dropped off the surgical team at the airport and was on my way back to the station to sleep. Must have taken a wrong turn because just as i noticed the ground had some different paint on it I was being pulled over by about a dozen TSA/ airport police/ local cops. I stayed calm, they told e on the PA to get out. I did hands first. they diffenently had guns out. I didn't get handcuffed just a stern talking to. turns out somebody left one of the gates open. it was funny afterward, not so much during the ordeal. I ended up being about 500 feet from the runway.
Those really really big vehicles with the jet engines are usually a clue....just sayin'.

Here's one you won't believe I don't want to ever do again; but it's true.....
have sex on top of my car in the parking lot of a Major League baseball stadium during a game with the Goodyear blimp overhead and make the team only "highlight reel" for that season. BUT that isn't the reason.....I had to explain the dents in the roof to my mother.
There are so many things that are just plain wrong in the post. (shaking head).

2. Watch any more Cold Steel videos. We had a shoplifter who got to their car and started driving away before we could get to them. Me hating to let a thief get away, jumped on the hood of the car, and started stabbing the hood with my knife. (Yes I had a purpose in mind) I managed to catch something electrical to make the car stop. The bad news was I got a jolt from hell. The even worse news may come in the name of a lawsuit after the initial court session.
I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of any else at the moment.
