Had a shipment of ceramic tiles arrive in Qatar last week and almost a third of the pallets had shifted because the dunnage bags we placed were clearly under inflated despite my guy swearing he pumped them all to the same pressure. When I watched him do it the next day I realized he was basically going by feel and the ancient foot pump we use doesn't even have a working gauge anymore, so no wonder the results were all over the place. I've been meaning to upgrade to a proper inflator for dunnage bag (https://www.crateco.ae/products/dunnage-bag-inflator-in-uae) use that connects to our air line and at least gives us a fighting chance of consistency, and someone on a logistics forum mentioned that Crateco keeps them in stock locally which would save me the usual two week wait for something ordered from abroad. What I really want to know is whether the hose on these things is long enough to reach from the compressor to inside a 40 foot container without dragging the whole unit behind you and if the nozzle has ever popped off mid inflation and smacked someone in the face because that would be peak irony after all my safety lectures about proper cargo securing.
