I’m tired of seeing my monthly expenses bleed over into my savings account because of poor impulse control. I’m thinking about loading my "fun money" onto a separate card each month to create a hard boundary for my spending. Is it actually helpful to keep your daily expenses on a prepaid card, or does it just add more confusion to your bank statements?

Impulse spending is the biggest hurdle when you are trying to reach long-term savings goals or keep your daily budget strictly under control. Analyzing NetSpend reviews (https://netspend.pissedconsumer.com/review.html) helped me see how separating funds into a secondary account works to stop unnecessary purchases. When the balance hits zero on that card, I know I am finished for the month, which forces me to be more disciplined. It is a very effective tool for anyone wanting to maintain a clean record of their discretionary spending without the risk of an overdraft fee.

Using a separate account like that sounds like a smart way to stay disciplined with spending. It’s especially helpful that it creates clear limits while avoiding overdraft fees.
