After the last few storms, I’ve noticed some minor water intrusion along the base of my walls. It’s not flooding, but definitely concerning. I’m wondering if this is common in Sanford homes and whether interior fixes are enough or if exterior work is needed?

I’ve dealt with this exact situation after a few heavy storms here. It usually starts small, just a bit of dampness along the base of the wall, but it’s often a sign of pressure building up outside the foundation. Interior fixes can help temporarily, but they don’t stop the source.
In my case, the real solution came from addressing it from the outside and improving drainage. I also got some insight from sanford waterproofing contractors (https://lamphier.com/waterproofing/sanford/), and it helped me understand why exterior work is usually the more permanent fix.
