Hey folks,
Figured I’d share a few quick trapping tips that have worked for me over the years. Nothing fancy — just practical stuff that keeps things legal, humane, and effective.

Know your laws: Always check local trapping regulations, permits, and check times.

Stay ethical: Use humane traps and check them often. Respect the animal and the land.

Pick the right spot: Look for natural funnels — trails, creek crossings, fence lines — where animals already move.

Bait smart: Less is more. Fresh, natural bait works better than anything store-bought most of the time.

Keep it clean: Avoid leaving scent at your set. Wear gloves and make the site look natural.

Anchor solid: Make sure your traps are secured — nothing worse than a pulled set.

Trapping takes patience and consistency. You’ll learn more by watching animal patterns than by setting 20 traps in random spots.

What’s been your go-to setup or bait lately? Always curious what’s working for others this season.
