Clean water is one of the most critical needs when you’re off-grid. While commercial filters are great, it’s smart to know how to build a simple emergency filter if your gear fails.

Boiling Method: After filtering, always boil the water for at least 1 minute (3–5 minutes at higher elevations) to kill pathogens.

Backup Tablets: Pack a few iodine or chlorine tablets as a lightweight backup.
