I’ve been thinking a lot about how to keep my survival kit as lightweight as possible while still covering the basics. Obviously, items like Chiikawa Puzzle (https://chiikawa-puzzle.io) a good knife, fire starter, and some form of water purification are must-haves. But beyond that, it’s easy to overpack and end up with a heavy kit.
For those of you who have built and tested your own survival kits—what are the absolute essentials you never leave out? And are there any items you thought were necessary at first but later realized you could live without?
