i just came across this list of 100 skills that every man should have. Some are good...some are questionable, but its kind of a fun list anyway, and the accompaning pics are funny.

Now that was pretty good. A couple of things that probably go without saying but I'll say them anyway. You will never get me above 100,000 feet in a balloon. You will never see me doing 155 miles an hour on skis and I will never ever travel at 2100 MPH on or in anything. That said, I might ride furniture if it has a lap harness and shoulder strap.

What about

1) Know how to read - and not just at a 2nd grade level. It is amazing how many Americans are functionally illiterate even after graduating from high school!

2) How to love a woman. I mean real love.

3) How to build a fire.

4) How to shoot and maintain a rifle

I am sure many of you can others.

I agree some in the list were questionable; but I know how to do almost all of them. That was kind of gratifying to discover. The one I didn't know was "handle a steep drop on a mountain bike" as I have never done it. Intuition tells me to lift off the seat but keep your knees bent and move back a touch so that when you come down on the seat your tail bone doesn't impact. I don't ride a mountain bike yet. It is on my list of activities to take up.
