I am glad I found this forum! I live in Southern Illinois (lots of trails and good camping opportunities). I have been looking to venture into some more remote territory (Alaska perhaps) and this forum looks like a great resource for knowledge/tips from experienced guys/gals.

Welcome home. Garden of the Gods, Giant City State Park, Fern Cliff. All my old stomping grounds. Wonderful places. Not so "wild" anymore but still beautiful none the less!
