It didn't Nancy. The people on the internet who have been SHOUTING about this problem since before 2000 and certainly with vigor since 2003 were "mocked, discredited, vilified, smeared, laughed at, called consipratorialists, doom and gloomers, extreme pessimists, traitors, and a host of other names gave you

**********YEARS OF WARNINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!**********

The Queen of Hearts knows how to deal with them all: Off with their heads!!! But nobody is going to be brought to task for all this. Maybe it's a good thing too because if someone were to be brought up it would have to be near everyone. (Generally speaking, of course.) Everyone who participated in the easy money policies, from Greenspan and Bush right down through the knowing banksters to the happy harry homeowners with zero credit ratings moving into McMansions. And don't stop there, all the foreign governments, investment banks and swf's who piled on and bought the fools debt blindly, wantonly, greedily. Everybody's getting what they all deserve now. Still, it would be nice to see some heads roll at the top - Paulson, Bernanke, Greenspan, Bush, Cheney and all the big bankster ceo's and such, to name just a few who really need to be brought to task, stock and pilloried, tar and feathered...even Guantanamoed!

An apology is no longer needed. You out of office will be a priority.

Robes-Pierre from the French revolution.

After all the finger pointing didn't he also get his head chopped off?

Edit: "No good deed goes unpunished".

Ah, oui-oui Rebel. Maximillien Marie Isidore de Robespierre. He was never really understood until the 20th century.

He always said heads were gonna roll.

King George II had plenty of practice. As governor of the province of TX, he pushed through a lot of deregulation - promises of "your bills will go down because of competition." Yet now, our utilities are pretty darn high - 13.9 cents per kWh.

So now, King George has ascended the throne. Allowed both massive de-regulation, and looking the other way.
hmmmm i wonder what's gonna happen....

There has been a complaint lodged that this thread violates the "no politics" rule, so I'm locking it down.
