Alright so lets get this started.

I came here mostly because I am interested in disaster survival, and I suppose cold weather/arctic survival. I am also greatly interested in knives, as well as designing and making knives; though firearms do top the list. I sure hope that I can learn some new things around here and get to know some of you. Well let's see, I am 16 and going to college (yep, 16+college = over achiever), I live in Washington, up near the border between Blaine and Ferndale; not married lately, no kids that I know of. I am a Cadet in Civil Air Patrol for 3 years 6 months and so many days, I have made my own knife before though it did not turn out wonderful likely because of the lack of quenching knowledge I had at the time, I frequently go on very long rides on an old Japanese race bike, I think Bear Grylls is more entertainment than survival and... am planning out my education to become a mechanical or aeronautical engineer. I think that mostly sums it up. Oh, I plan to wrap service in the Air Force or Marine Corps somewhere around my education.

Oh man do I love knives! I know how you feel about them...I think. I'm actually also interrested in making knives. I'm doing an apprenticeship under a blacksmith, and he's teaching me to make knives and stuff. I'm in the middle of one right now. All the details about it are on the thread Forging a knife on the Making stuff category here in the forum.
