Does anyone know of a reputable website/agency/organization that you can get housesitters through? Not a home exchange.

i wish i was younger wildwoman, i had showed the mrs your pm a while back, too many responsibilities now, but would have been nice to watch your critters for ya.

well, we're planning on staying here into old age, so maybe some years down the road you guys might find yourselves able to come up here....we'll always need animal loving bush savvy housesitters!

Perhaps the local store would let you post something on their bulletin board? Or put a want ad in the newspaper?

Yes, we're trying that too, it's a competitive market for housesitters here...and since we need someone who's very good with dogs, around bears, in an off-grid wilderness cabin, it's a bit of a tall order...so we want to try different avenues.
