Spring trip

Does anyone want to go on a real adventure? Spring time in south east Alaska is outstanding. Any kayakers out there? I took the ferry up a time or two its the ONLY way to travel SE Ak. Four out of the 5 or so voices in my head keep saying come back.....come back.......The other two just say......... why can't i shoot stupid people?... So I think I'll listen to the majority and just go back in the spring.

I lived in juneau for a couble years and all I hear every day in my head is come back it is the mose beautiful place you will ever see one fish fills your freezer .I live in the mountians 6 month and loved it . you also get payed to live there and you can get your hunting and fishing lic. for $.25 if you live off the land.

thats right they pay you after you live there a year every one in the house gets a check .I think it was 4 year ago a friend got 5,ooo for each member of his family.

I don't remember it ever being $5,000. I've seen it almost $2,200. This year it's going to be just over $2,000 plus $1,200 for the high cost of fuel. The Gov. also just suspended the $0.8 state fuel tax for a year. You can read all about it online. Just look up Alaska permanent fund dividend.

And when you are 60 you get free hunt, fishing, and trapping lic. free till you die. Most places like here after 65 you pay no tax on your personal residence. And other tax breaks for those under 65. No state income tax of humans, or most businesses.

The down side is that Anchorage has 300,BILLION people.

Crashdive, you will have to try very hard to get me mad i'm numb. OK so it's not exactly 60miles but it is TWO rooms I'm freakin highfulootin. And yes I am going back this spring. And no i don't care for this HELLISH HEAT!!!!!!!!!!
Then there's them skeeters everywhere.............Back home they are bad sometimes VERY BAD and then the FLIES show up oh man you don't want to no. I shop in tok. i'm a musher but I DO NOT RACE Do you know how a surfer feels on a wave???? Thats how i feel on my sled.
I've got six dogs that i miss so bad I know their in good hands but i can't help but WORRY.......................................
