Greetings from one of the oldest cities in the USA, and birthplace of General Electric (woohoo.)

I'm a born again Christian and I believe in the Bible and the Apolcalypse (which actually means revelation).

It is through my religious convictions coupled with my observations on politics, economics and sociology that I have come to be a bit of a survivalist. Right now I'm just probing a bit deeper into the topic and I found this forum interesting. The first thread I read was on two guys going out with nothing but a knife in Canada. I admit I was a bit disappointed by the length at wich everyone debated whether to give information to these guys, or to try and discourage them, but it was an interesting thread all-in-all, with some good tid-bits.

I really enjoyed the Army Survival Manual. My friends and I are (though not with proper discipline) training physically and mentally for survival in less than civilized situations.

Anyone here doing bulk rice or dried bean orders?

Welcome Nichov, make yourself at home, and use the search button for a world of information that would be of interest to you and your friends. If you don't find what your looking for just ask and we'll be more than happy to help. You should re-post under the General Survival Discussion section, or the General Emergency Preparedness section, about doing bulk rice or dried bean orders.

Hello and welcome. What part of the discussion were you disappointed in? What would you have preferred to have seen?

Welcome home. Everything you mentioned violated the forum rules. Okay, just some of it.:D

You bet. LOT'S of people do storage. Some bulk, some not so bulk. There are tons of threads on it. Take a gander at some of the threads. They include materials to use. Equipment to make storage easier, etc. etc.

I'm from Clifton Park, just up the road from Schenectady. I've been in Atlanta for almost 10 years though. Welcome to the forum.

Nichov,
hello and welcome to the forum, as to the Numpty's thread... it wasn't that we were putting them down but alot of people here no the difference between going minimalist and going out heading into danger on purpose. They refused to listen, one thing with the pack though... never take offense to what is said, nothing here is actually personal, its online chit chat, we're thick skinned so we come off kinda course but then again the wilderness is course herself.
So if I ever say anything to offend you, tell me to put a sock in it, I don't mean it that way. Again glad your here and welcome.
God Bless

Anything to get you started, but religon and politics is a not so good disscussion topic. People joke about everything here so if your passionate about any thing don't take offense if your view is jibed at a litle. Im learning to.
