I'm Scottish and I'm interested in this site for Scouts... I'm technically an Explorer scout but as of yet our Explorer unit has not been set up (getting there) so I'm a young leader and I like to teach about survival and things a Scout neckerchief can be used for. The Scout troop I'm with is going on a Survival weekend soon where they have to sleep in a man made bivvy and I figure this site could be useful.

Cheers, but unfortunately our neckers are triangular so the bandanas uses will be slightly different I think.

We're a "special" group;:rolleyes: just watch out for a site run by a Troll called "TheFreakinBear".:eek: I wonder why Scouts have clung to the "kerchief" when a bandana is TWICE the cloth & can be used for more things than the simple kerchief. If I ran a troop the Ker-chief would be out & every "patrol" could be id'd by the color of bandana they wore: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow. Even better, the "Survival Neckerchief", maybe Rick can post the site as I've seemed to have mis-placed it!:cool:
