Working with a local police unit on establishing a small DNA forensics lab has been an eye-opener. We’ve got space and trained staff, but we’re still figuring out where to source reliable PCR machines, extraction kits, and cold storage units. Most suppliers we’ve found are geared toward massive operations or clinical labs, which isn’t quite what we need.
